Ranger Guided Hike - Pueblo Loop Trail

The walk will begin on the back porch of the visitor center and finishes at</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW256140181 BCX8"> </span><span class="NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW256140181 BCX8">Tyuonyi</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW256140181 BCX8"> Pueblo</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW256140181 BCX8">, the largest structure built </span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW256140181 BCX8">by the Pueblo people </span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW256140181 BCX8">in Frijoles canyon,</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW256140181 BCX8"> along the trail. From this point, you may hike the rest of the trail self-guided or turn back around to the visitor center</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW256140181 BCX8">. </span></p>

Ranger Guided Hike to Alcove House

A 2-mile roundtrip leaving from the Visitor Center will take you to </span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW165695639 BCX8">a very special</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW165695639 BCX8"> ancestral home set in a natural alcove 140 feet up from the canyon floor. Learn about how the Ancestral Pueblo people lived and moved through the canyon as you set out on the landscape. </span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW165695639 BCX8"> </span></p>

Guided Geology Hike
<p><span class="TextRun SCXW161930634 BCX8" lang="EN-US" xml:lang="EN-US" data-contrast="none"><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW161930634 BCX8">Join 2 geologists on a hike down the Falls Trail and learn about the geology of Bandelier National Monument and the Pajarito Plateau. This hike starts at the Visitor Center at 9:00 am and will return at 12:00pm. The Falls Trail is three miles roundtrip over uneven terrain with over 400ft elevation change, it typically takes about 2.5 hours to complete. </span></span></p>
<p><span class="TextRun SCXW161930634 BCX8" lang="EN-US" xml:lang="EN-US" data-contrast="none"><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW161930634 BCX8">Please wear comfortable shoes, bring plenty of water, and wear adequate sun protection.</span></span></p>
