Commercialized Catoctin: From Industrialization to Recreation
<div class="x_elementToProof"><em data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">Join a park intern capstone program on Saturday August 8, at 1:00 P.M. for a guided hiking tour on the fall of Catoctin’s Iron Industry and its rebirth as a National Park from logging and tourism. </em></div> <div class="x_elementToProof"><em> </em></div> <div class="x_elementToProof"><em>The program will last 30 minutes and will begin at the Thurmont Vista Parking Area, following the Charcoal Trail for approximately .5 miles. </em></div> <div class="x_elementToProof"> </div> <div class="x_elementToProof"><em>Please bring comfortable walking shoes, water, and appropriate clothing for an outdoor program.</em></div>
