<p>Are you interested in learning more about the shorebirds of Fort Pulaski?</p> <p>Join us for a special program titled "Fort Pulaski's Red Knots, Horseshoe Crabs, and Shorebird Migration" on Wednesday July 29, 2026 at 1:00 PM in the Fort Pulaski National Monument Visitor Center.</p> <p>Presented by <a href="https://www.manomet.org/">Manomet Conservation Sciences</a> shorebird biologist Allie Hayser, this program will cover:</p> <ul> <li>how shorebirds use Cockspur Island's shorelines for stopover, nesting, and wintering</li> <li>how researchers collect and use shorebird data</li> <li>why horseshoe crabs are critical players in shorebird migration</li> <li>conservation efforts across Georgia's coasts</li> </ul> <p>Get an inside look into Fort Pulaski's role in shorebird research and conservation!</p>
