Fort Charlotte Campground Temporarily Closed Due to Wildfire Conditions

Grand Portage National Monument is temporarily closing the Fort Charlotte Campground effective immediately due to high fire danger and active wildfires across northeast Minnesota. This proactive closure is being issued to protect the safety and well-being of visitors, staff, and nearby communities as wildfire activity continues to create unpredictable and hazardous conditions. Fort Charlotte Campground reopens July 30. Campfire Ban remains in effect. Approved camp stoves only.
