Suffolk Mill Open House

<p class="">Take a ride on one of the iconic <a id="CP___PAGEID=7217060,trolley-system.htm,26791|" class="" href="../../lowe/planyourvisit/trolley-system.htm">Trolleys</a> from the Boott Cotton Mills Museum or walk along the Merrimack Riverwalk to the <a id="CP___PAGEID=8168368,suffolk-mill-turbine-exhibit.htm,26791|" class="" href="../../lowe/planyourvisit/suffolk-mill-turbine-exhibit.htm">Suffolk Mill Turbine Exhibit</a>. Wednesday through Sunday from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. stop by to see a real Francis Turbine and learn how this technology revolutionized the textile industry in Lowell.</p> <p class="">Trolley will run Wednesday through Sunday from the Boott Cotton Mills Museum to the Suffolk Mill with return trips.</p>

Lokalizacja: Located at 600 Suffolk Street, the Suffolk Mill Exhibit is inside the Wannalancit Mills building. Free trolley rides are available beginning at the Boott Cotton Mills Museum (115 John Street).

Whether you need a break from the day-to-day bustle or are looking to discover a new peaceful past time, Mindful Weaving Workshops offer a serene setting to unwind while weaving on our handlooms. The Merrimack Dragonfly Mercury Project

<p>Do you want to be a part of science in national parks? Come participate in a nationwide project that connects people to place and tracks mercury in the Merrimack River Watershed. Are you curious about insects, air pollution, or what lives underwater? This may be your chance to learn more!</p> <p>Join us on Friday, August 7th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Lowell-Dracut-Tyngsborough State Forest Entrance at the end of Trotting Park Road. Part of the program will involve entering a pond, so proper footwear (rain boots or old sneakers) is encouraged.</p> <p>Reservations are required, call 978 970-5000 to save a spot.</p>

Feel the beat of the looms as you step back in time and learn about the history of Lowell's industrial revolution. Explore the museum with a new spin, seeing some of the collections of the park.</p> <p>This free event is part of the Late Night at the Museum series, offered June through October. Visit the Boott Cotton Mills Museum after-hours on the third Thursday of each month to experience the museum in a way in a new light.</p>

Join Lowell National Historical Park for a brisk walk to the Pawtucket Gatehouse and explore this symbol of Lowell's engineering prominence. Come join us on Saturday, August 29th from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.</p> <p>Meet staff at the Boott Cotton Mills Museum, 115 John Street, for this 3-mile round trip walk along the Lowell Riverwalk to the Pawtucket Gatehouse. This event is free and no advance registration is required. We walk rain or shine! Please dress for the weather and bring a water bottle.</p> <p>Free parking is available at the Lowell National Historical Park Visitor Center parking lot (304 Dutton Street), a 10-minute walk from the Boott Cotton Mills Museum</p>
