<p><strong>Louis Ford</strong> is a fifth generation New Orleans musician, inspired by his father Clarence Ford. Like his father, Louis is an accomplished clarinetist and saxophonist, with love and dedication to the peservation of jazz. Studying music at the New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts (NOCCA) under Ellis Marsalis, a member of St. Augustine’s Marching 100, he earned a degree in Music Education from Loyola University.</p>

<p>The Arrowhead Jazz Band is anchored by New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park <strong>Rangers</strong> <strong>Jade Perdue</strong> (vocals/keyboards), <strong>Hunter Miles Davis</strong> (drums), <strong>Kerry Lewis, Sr.</strong> (bass), <strong>Matt Hampsey</strong> (guitar), and Interns <strong>Saskia Walker</strong> (vocals) and <strong>Tim Brown II</strong> (percussion/vibraphone).</p>
<p>They will be joined by New Orleans-base trumpeter <strong>Raph Zee</strong>. </p>

<p>Recently named a consecutive “Rising Star Baritone Saxophonist” in the 2025 and 2026 Downbeat Magazine Critics Poll, NO FEAR Founder and Executive Director, <strong>Tim” Sully” Sullivan</strong>, has been a top call stage and studio performer for over 25 years in New Orleans, Chicago, and New York City. With a soulful and singular sound on saxophones, flutes, clarinets, whistles, and voice, he has performed, recorded, and toured throughout the U.S. and overseas with artists ranging from Soul Queen Aretha Franklin to Funk Legend Fred Wesley to over a dozen NEA Jazz Masters to name a few.</p>
<p>Pianist <strong>Kyle Roussel</strong> represents the best of the next generation, an exciting young player who holds down the keyboards for the history-steeped Preservation Hall Jazz Band and as a sideman for numerous jazz, gospel, and funk bands across New Orleans. Roussel got his first professional call from drummer Shannon Powell, and other established musicians soon took notice of the young Roussel’s keyboard prowess and versatility. He spent nearly three years touring the world with the Dirty Dozen Brass Band. He’s performed with The Headhunters, Christian Scott, Delfeayo Marsalis, John Boutte, Donald Harrison, Jr., Bonerama, Topsy Chapman, Mia Borders, Khris Royal, and even hill country bluesman Cedric Burnside.</p>

<p>Jazz vocalist <strong>Saskia Walker</strong> moved to New Orleans in 2019 from her hometown of Rome, Italy, to explore its vibrant musical landscape. She has since worked with many notable musicians in recording studios like Esplanade Studios, and live performances at the Spotted Cat and d.b.a. on Frenchman Street and the Maple Leaf uptown.</p>
<p><strong>Dimitri Hanafin Reyes</strong> is a pianist and composer based in New Orleans. Originally from San Francisco, he earned dual degrees in Black American Music and Legal Studies in Business from Tulane University. Dimitri has performed at many venues around New Orleans and festivals including New Orleans Jazz Fest, French Quarter Fest, and JazzAscona in Switzerland. His original composition "Full Circle" was featured at Tulane's 2024 commencement ceremony. Dimitri continues to perform and collaborate within the New Orleans music scene.</p>

<p><strong>Tom Worrell</strong> is a pianist of the first degree, a veteran of both the road and the New Orleans music scene, who embodies the spirits of the great Professor Longhair and James Booker whenever he takes the stage. Worrell learned piano at the age of four, and also plays trombone and bass, and sings. He was playing in rock bands when he got hired to tour the world with Solomon Burke, and Burke’s bandleader turned him on to Fess and Booker. Worrell soon joined up with Jumpin’ Johnny Sansone in New Orleans, and he hasn’t looked back. He has worked with a Who’s Who of New Orleans musical talent, including Walter “Wolfman” Washington, the Wild Magnoloas, Deacon John, John Fohl, the 101 Runners, Brother Tyrone, and Big Marva Wright.</p>
<p>Mentored by New Orleans icons like Zigaboo Modeliste, Earl Palmer and Freddie Kohlman, <strong>Kerry Brown</strong> honed his skill on the drums until he met Mr. Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown, the great blues front man and Texas-born multi-instrumentalist. While still in high school, Kerry joined the elder Mr. Brown on tour alongside musicians like Stevie Ray Vaughan.</p>
<p>Kerry Brown has performed with a long list of musicians, including David Allan Coe and the Allman Brothers; marched with the Royal, Excelsior and many other brass bands; played alongside artists like BB King, Teddy Riley, Danny Barker and Buddy Guy; backed Led Zepplin’s Jimmy Page on tour with The Firm; recorded with John Mooney, Freddie King and Champion Jack Dupree. And he performes regularly at Preservation Hall.</p>

<p>The <strong>Gullah Geechee</strong> people are descendants of those enslaved in the Sea Islands of Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. Because of the remoteness of the plantations, the Gullah Geechee were able to retain some of their African traditions, including the ring shout. It’s a ritual in which participants move counterclockwise in a circle while shuffling and stomping their feet and clapping their hands, in call and response fashion. The tradition is rooted in West African culture, mixed with elements of Christianity. The Gullah Geechee Ring Shouters from Darien, Georgia have preserved this ancestral heritage through performance and education since 1980. During this performance, moderated by Ted Johnson, historian for the National Underground Railroad Network to Freedom, several ring shouts will be performed involving call & response singing which also uses the bamboula rhythm. </p>

<p><strong>Dr. Geovane Paiva Santos</strong> is an Afro-Brazilian guitarist, composer, arranger, producer, educator, and music scholar from Belo Horizonte, Brazil, whose work bridges Brazilian music, jazz, classical guitar, and the cultural traditions of New Orleans. Based in New Orleans since 2015, Santos has built a multifaceted career spanning performance, composition, music direction, arts education and mentorship, cultural production, and interdisciplinary research.</p>

<p>The <strong>Arrowhead Jazz Band </strong>brings together <strong>National Park Service Rangers</strong> and local musicians to perform traditional New Orleans jazz, blues, gospel, and original compositions.</p>
<p>The Arrowhead Jazz Band is anchored by New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park <strong>Rangers</strong> <strong>Jade Perdue</strong> (vocals/keyboards), <strong>Hunter Miles Davis</strong> (drums), <strong>Kerry Lewis, Sr.</strong> (bass), <strong>Matt Hampsey</strong> (guitar), and Interns <strong>Saskia Walker</strong> (vocals) and <strong>Tim Brown II</strong> (percussion/vibraphone).</p>
<p>They will be joined by New Orleans-base trumpeter <strong>Raph Zee</strong>. </p>
