Adopt-a-Crag
<p>Obed Wild & Scenic River and the <a class="sc-fgIArH gMtZkI vk-MessageMention" href="https://www.facebook.com/333082257812" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">East Tennessee Climbers Coalition</a> (ETCC) are teaming up for the annual Adopt-a-Crag event on Saturday, September 12. Volunteers will help with trail maintenance, climbing access improvements, cleanup, and conservation projects throughout the park.</p>
<p>Meet at: Lilly Pad Hopyard Brewery, 920 Ridge Road, Lancing, TN</p>
<p>Time: 10 a.m. ET</p>
<p>Parking is limited, so volunteers are encouraged to park at the Clear Creek parking lot (124 Doc Howard Road), within walking distance of the Lilly Pad, and carpool when possible.</p>
<p>What to Bring: Participants should bring a sack lunch, snacks, water, long pants, closed-toed shoes, bug spray, and sunscreen. Gloves and hand tools are also recommended.</p>
<p>After the work is done, stick around to climb your favorite routes or enjoy other recreation in the park. Around 5 p.m. ET, ETCC will host a volunteer appreciation event at the Lilly Pad. </p>

Dark Sky Program: Space, Stars & Science
<div class="x_elementToProof" data-ogsc="rgb(0, 0, 0)" data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">How much space is really between planets? How do we recognize constellations? And what glows after dark?</div>
<div class="x_elementToProof" data-ogsc="rgb(0, 0, 0)">Explore those questions through hands-on activities that bring space and science to life. Build constellations, explore the distances between planets, and use UV light to discover animals that fluoresce after dark.</div>
<div class="x_elementToProof" data-ogsc="rgb(0, 0, 0)">Then, as night falls, look through a large telescope for a closer view of a planet or star in the night sky.</div>

Junior Ranger: Idziemy na ryby
Obed Wild & Scenic River zachęca dzieci w wieku szkolnym (12 lat i młodsze) do nauki wędkowania z leśniczym parku! Leśnicy wprowadzą uczestników w podstawy wędkowania oraz zasady ochrony przyrody, a każde dziecko zabierze do domu własną wędkę. Uczestnicy zdobędą także odznakę Junior Ranger Angler.
Przedmioty do zabrania do domu są dostępne tylko dla osób uczestniczących po raz pierwszy.

Adaptive Climbing
<p><span data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">Join us for a free adaptive climbing program designed for individuals with an amputation or limb difference. No prior climbing experience needed; all gear provided, plus trained staff and volunteers on site. </span></p>

Climb with a Ranger
<p>Climb with a Ranger occurs on the first Saturday of each month. <br /><br /><strong>11:00 am-12:00 pm (ET)</strong>: There will be a dedicated children-only climb for children ages 12 and under.</p>
<p><strong>12:00 pm-2:00 pm (ET): </strong>Visitors of all ages are encouraged to attend at any time during this timeframe.</p>
Lokalizacja: Parking:
Participants should park on either side of Lilly Bridge, take the path near the west end of the bridge labelled “Bridge Trail” and follow the signs to the climbing area. If parking is full at Lilly Bridge, participants should park in one of the Lilly Overlook parking lots. From the overlook parking lots, participants should follow the wide, gravel “Overlook Trail,” turn right on the “Bridge Trail” and then follow the trail that stays closest to the cliff base until arriving at the climbing area.

Junior Ranger Let's Go Fishing
Obed Wild & Scenic River zachęca dzieci w wieku szkolnym (do 12 lat) do nauki wędkowania z parkowym strażnikiem! Strażnicy parkowi wprowadzą uczestników w podstawy wędkarstwa oraz zasady ochrony przyrody, a każde dziecko dostanie swoją własną wędkę do domu. Uczestnicy otrzymają także odznakę Junior Ranger Angler.
Upominki do zabrania do domu są ograniczone do osób biorących udział po raz pierwszy.
