Earth Lodge Tour

<p>Join a Park Ranger for a tour of the Earth Lodge!</p> <p>Learn more about the mound-building culture and see the 1,000-year-old clay floor inside the ceremonial council chamber.</p> <p>The 1/8 mile walk to the Earth Lodge includes a paved decline and incline which may be difficult for some guests.</p> <p>The space inside the Earth Lodge is accessed through a 20-foot-long tunnel and is not wheelchair or stroller accessible.</p>

Ocmulgee Indigenous Celebration

<div class="xdj266r x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs">In celebration of Southeastern Native American cultures and heritage, Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park will host its 34th Ocmulgee Indigenous Celebration September 12-13, 2026. Celebration hours are 10:00am-5:00pm Saturday &amp; Sunday.</div> <div class="xdj266r x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs"> </div> <div class="x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s">The Celebration will feature traditional cultural dances, storytelling, live demonstrations, music, and art. Fun activities for kids, like pottery making, will be available. FREE admission.</div> <div class="x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s"> </div> <div class="x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s">This event is hosted by the National Park Service and the Ocmulgee Mounds Association in coordination with the Muscogee (Creek) Nation and other southeastern tribes.</div> <div class="x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s"><br class="html-br" />Native American art and food will be available for purchase.</div> <div class="x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s"> </div> <div class="x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s">All parking is just down the road at 171 Emery Hwy with free, ADA accessible shuttle service.</div>
