<p>Are you curious about Owls? Whooooo isn't? <br /><br />Learn about the wonderful nocturnal creatures that live in Oregon Caves National Monument and Preserve. You can practice identifying birds of the night and hear from a Ranger about many of the ways we can help protect them.</p>

Chateau Bat Night

<p class="xxxxmsonormal"><span style="color: black;">Join Oregon Caves National Monument and Preserve Rangers for a short presentation on the importance of bats, the night sky, and the ecology of bat habitats. Watch expert rangers demonstrate how to safely capture live bats in front of the cave entrance and over the upper and lower ponds. Observe the safe extraction of bats from nets and learn how park scientists collect important data about the different bats that call Oregon Caves home. There will be an opportunity for bat photography and acoustic telemetry demonstrations as well!<br /><br />Bring a flashlight or headlamp and dress for cooler weather.</span></p>

Lokalizacja: Park at the first parking lot. Then proceed up the road to the Visitor Center at the Caves and be ready for a night of fun and learning.

Light in the Night

<p>Join a Ranger-led Night Hike on the Old Growth Trail. 1 mile, moderate, packed dirt trail, 200 foot elevation gain. <br /><br />Learn about different types of light and explore native animal fluorescence. Bring a headlamp or flashlight, sturdy shoes, and warm clothes.<br /><br /><br /></p>
