Star Party and Candlelight Hike
<p>Experience the magic of the dunes after dark on a one-mile, easy trail glowing with lanterns to light your way. Friends from the Grand Traverse Astronomical Society will also be onsite with telescopes to share about what's overhead. Arrive anytime between 9 pm and 10:30 pm.</p>
<p>Arrive anytime between 9 pm and 10:30 pm to fully experience the program. In the past, parking has been limited right at 9 pm, so coming a little later may guarantee a parking spot. If the parking lot is full, visitors are encouraged to take a quiet drive to view Lake Michigan in Glen Haven (2 minutes north on M109), and then return in 15-20 minutes to find a spot.</p>

Yoga on the Beach
<p class="" data-rte-preserve-empty="true">The practice of yoga starts by showing up with the intention of looking inside oneself to reflect on what your body and soul may need. We are honored to be able to do so on the lovely lakeshore of the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes.</p>
<p class="" data-rte-preserve-empty="true">Yoga on the Beach is a business supporter of Friends of Sleeping Bear Dunes. These popular beach yoga classes are offered on a donation basis, with proceeds benefiting both Yoga on the Beach and Friends of Sleeping Bear Dunes. A suggested donation to Yoga on the Beach of $15–$25 is appreciated, though participants are encouraged to contribute whatever fits their budget.</p>
<p class="" data-rte-preserve-empty="true">Yoga on the Beach is held at the Sleeping Bear Point Coast Guard Station Maritime Museum, to the west of the Cannery. (Take a left at the stop sign in front of the big red building and follow the signs.) There is a parking lot for the Museum on the right just before the Sleeping Bear Point Trailhead. </p>
