The Oaks Tours by Reservation Only
The Oaks, the historic home of Booker T. Washington is open by reservation only during an ongoing preservation and rehabilitation project. Built in 1899, the Queen Anne-style home is undergoing exterior rehabilitation work. Tours are limited to a maximum of 5 visitors per reservation. Large groups and walk-in tours will not be accommodated during this time. To make a reservation, please call (334) 727-3200 or (334) 421-3246.

Preservation Work in Progress at The Oaks
Preservation and rehabilitation work has begun at The Oaks, the historic home of Booker T. Washington. The project will be completed in phases, with Phase 1 focused on restoration and preservation, including exterior improvements. The Oaks remains open by reservation only. Tours are limited to maximum of 5 visitors per reservation. Large groups and walk-in tours cannot be accommodated. To make a reservation, please call (334) 727-3200 or (334) 421-3246.

Accessible Parking Available
Accessible parking is available at the George Washington Carver Museum and The Oaks. For George Washington Carver Museum, after receiving your visitor pass, enter Tuskegee University through Lincoln Gates on Booker T. Washington Boulevard. Pass Margaret Murray Washington Hall and the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center, then turn right to the parking garage. Accessible parking for The Oaks is at 1200 West Montgomery Road.
