Devils Kitchen parking lot closure, no water 8/3-28
From August 3rd to 28th, 2026, a contractor will replace the leaky waterline at the Devils Kitchen Picnic Area. The main parking lot at the picnic area will be closed during this time, and water will be shut off throughout most of the project. Port-a-Johns will be located at the trailhead parking across the street, and the overflow parking lot will be open next to the East Entrance.

From 8/3/26 to 8/28/26, contractors will be repairing and replacing the waterline at Devils Kitchen Picnic Area and parking lot. The restrooms, water, and parking area will be closed throughout the duration of the project. Access to Serpents Trail will remain open at the Devils Kitchen Trailhead.

Stage II Fire Restrictions
Fire danger is extremely high. No fires (charcoal or wood) are permitted anywhere in the park, including in the campground. No smoking outside of your vehicle. Fireworks are always banned. Check vehicles for dragging chains. Be safe and fire aware!

6/30/26 - 8/7/26 Devils Kitchen Picnic Area - Expect Temporary Closures
June 30 through August 7, from 6:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, mason workers will be repointing Devils Kitchen Picnic Shelter to improve the integrity and stability of the structure. The restrooms will remain open, but the picnic tables may be inaccessible during construction.

6/16/26 - 8/6/26 Roadside Vegetation Removal - Expect Short Traffic Delays
Vegetation crews will be removing encroaching plants along Rim Rock Drive to increase roadside visibility for drivers. Crews will start at the west entrance headed eastbound, and traffic will be reduced to one lane in sections where the crew is working. Vehicles may be stopped temporarily, but delays should last no more than 10 minutes at a time.

Prace na szlaku Lower Monument Canyon - Spodziewaj się krótkich opóźnień do sierpnia 2026 r.
Od poniedziałku do czwartku oraz niektóre piątki, od 7:00 do 16:30, od połowy maja do sierpnia, spodziewaj się prac konserwacyjnych na dolnej części szlaku Monument Canyon. Prace będą prowadzone na dolnych 2,5 milach szlaku, od dolnego początku szlaku do skrzyżowania Wedding Canyon przy Independence Monument. Obecnie nie przewiduje się zamknięć, jednak turyści mogą doświadczyć krótkich opóźnień podczas przechodzenia przez miejsca prac.
