Increased Bear Activity and Dryweed Island Area Closures

Due to unsafe bear‑human interactions, all of the Dryweed Island area's campsites, houseboat sites, and day use sites are closed. See below for a full list of sites covered by the closure. This time of year typically brings increased bear activity throughout the park. Visitors should remain bear aware and follow all food‑storage requirements.
